Everything I write is a work in progress, for like all, I can only know in part and see in part and rely on other saints to fill in the parts I have missed or correct me when wrong. The Holy Spirit speaking through scripture is the only One Who reveals truth. I care not what famous theologians have said if it does not agree with what the Holy Spirit reveals. Men like to draw a circle around what they believe and construct fences that prohibit challenging their beliefs.
Most saints do not approach scripture by the Holy Spirit, but through the lens of those who went before them. And that can be valuable unless they limit themselves to that approach, There is FAR more in scripture than what the Holy Spirit has yet revealed and all that He will further reveal will be through scripture.
On this site you will find neither scholar nor expert. This is a site for those, whether scholar, expert, or others who are simply seekers of His face and His truth and His kingdom.
It is rather obvious that Christianity and the church does not look anything like the way it was instituted. It is no longer turning the world upside down. Its foundations are cracked and unstable and need to be restored.
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. Isaiah 58:12
Most churches recognize that things are not right with Christianity, otherwise they would not be praying for revival. Revival brings back something that is missing. But they do not think anything is broken with their doctrines, traditions, ways of ministry. They just want something added that endorses and improves on what they like and know and are comfortable with,
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant Jeremiah 1:10
When God sends anyone to root out, pull down,and destroy and to throw down those things that are amiss or idolatrous in their midst, he is cast out and a divider of the brethren, and is never given a chance to build and to plant. Before building or planting it is always necessary to clear the land, We don’t know and won’t admit the extent to which our foundations have been corrupted
Thus says the Lord: “Stand at the crossroads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way lies; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.”
But they said, “We will not walk in it.”
Jeremiah 6:16;7
We are ever looking for new paths and ways. The old ones don’t work for us anymore. That is because we did not walk in them as we were meant to walk in them. We walked in them according to our own understanding and not as led by the Spirit of the Living God.
Nothing is ever our fault,
“God has changed His mind,
He does not do things that way any more,
that was for then, we need something for now.
Our culture and way of life us much different than theirs”
We refuse to believe what God plainly states in scripture, and that is our condemnation and the very and only reason why the church looks nothing like Jesus’ church.
Even the Great Commission
- Mr 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Is ignored, not believed and not obeyed. We never hear anyone preaching the gospel of the Kingdom as Jesus and His disciples always did. Jesus NEVER himself or told His disciples to proclaim the kingdom of God without proving it with healings and deliverances. So, where to we get the warrant to pretend like it is not one command, instead of several commands. It was proclaiming AND demonstrating the Kingdom of God and His reign over all.
We preach a truncated gospel that is good enough to get people in the door but not sufficient enough for them to live an overcoming life, one that turns the world upside down, and give practical proof that the principalities and powers over this world have been conquered by Jesus Christ
The WORD OF FAITH and NAR heresies have well been used by satan to make people gun shy about even looking into the commands and promises of God and satan is delighted.
We must take the very verses of those heresies and demonstrate how God meant them to be understood and used. There is nothing wrong with those commands and promises, but like anything in the supernatural they can be counterfeited and abused. If there is a counterfeit, there must be the real. It is far past time when we need to reveal the real.
