Jesus and the apostles are the only examples that God gave us

of how to live out an effective ministry.

It was not dependent on techniques, programs, or traditions

He gave us an impossible standard and it is supposed to be.

It humbles us and to make us know that in ourselves dwells no good thing Ro 7:18, but with God all things are possible

So simple, so impossible   2Co 12:9

There may be more aspects of this, but what other foundation can there be?
The entire way of ministry can be summed up in this verse

Mt 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word spoken that proceedeth currently out of the mouth of God.

All other verses are but proof and examples that this is the key verse.

  • Joh 5:30  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
  • Joh 8:28  Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
  • Joh 9:4  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
  • Joh 12:49  For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
  • Joh 14:10  Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
  • Joh 5:19  Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

  • Mr 16:20  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

  • 1Co 2:4 And my speech and my preaching Ac 20:25,27 was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

  • 1Co 2:1 ¶ And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

  • 1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
  • 2Co 12:9  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
  • 1Co 1:17 ¶ For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel Ac 20: 25,  27: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
  • Acts 20:25  And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.  26  Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I [am] pure from the blood of all [men]. 27  For I have not shunned to declare unto you ALL the counsel of God.  Is it the gospel if it is not the total gospel?  What parts don’t we preach?
